Fundamentals of Bioprocess Engineering
Prof. Lalit M. Pandey · IIT Guwahati
About
This course emphasizes the basic understanding of the bioprocess engineering. It starts with the fundamentals of the bioprocess engineering, its importance and role in the industrial biotechnology. It also covers the introductory part of the bioreactor, types, modes of operation and the various products of economic importance. The course discusses the microbial and enzyme kinetics. It highlights the importance of metabolic stoichiometry in media formulation. It also includes the mass transfer principles, downstream processing techniques and thus it will be helpful for the students and scholars of interdisciplinary domains. The course content was prepared in such a way that it will be applicable for UG, PG students and PhD scholars.
