Study on Ancillary Copyright Protections for Publishers' Roundtable

Library Of Congress

Clips are not offered for this film: the Library of Congress states its rights in its own words, not as a public licence, which leaves reuse unclear.

About

The Copyright Office is undertaking this study at the US Congress's request to evaluate the desirability of additional protections to secure press publisher rights against third-party use of their content. The European Union recently implemented such protections. The Copyright Office will consider, among other issues: The effectiveness of publishers' existing rights in news content under US copyright law, as well as other federal and state laws; Whether additional protections are desirable or appropriate; The possible scope of new protections; How such protections would interact with existing rights and international treaty obligations.
