About
Karoline Davidson is a certified celebrant, crematory operator, funeral director, and embalmer who started her funeral service career in 2007 as an unlicensed funeral attendant. During this interview, Ms. Davidson shares her challenges with compassion fatigue and burnout while servicing families during the COVID-19 pandemic. Davidson also recalls a service she arranged for a nurse who contracted COVID-19 while working in a clinical setting. She also shared a creative helium balloon memorial that was created by funeral home management. This creative memorial allowed participation, while being in-compliance, of social distancing restrictions.
