The sculpture depicts a seated woman with long hair holding an infant in her arms in a relief format. The figures are raised slightly from the background, giving it a three-dimensional appearance. The sculpture is crafted from a dark, metallic material, likely bronze, with a polished texture. It is framed with a wooden border. The artwork portrays an intimate interaction between the woman and the child, with traditional material and technique connecting to a classical artistic style.
