About this work

The three spires depicted in the picture were photographed from Piazza del Duomo, at approximately 45°27'49.4"N 9°11'24.6"E. From left to right, they are the spire of Saint Vitalis, no. 18; the spire of Saint Agricola, no. 1; and the spire of Saint Genesius, no. 2. Shooting from below makes the towers look tall and grand against the sky, while bright sunlight makes the white marble pop clearly against the deep blue background.
