Episode FORD'S GRAVY PLANE, SMITH'S GOLDEN KITTY, JOKES ON POILIEVRE, CARNEY SHOOTS - HE SCORES!
After an absolutely wild week in Canadian politics, it’s clear we need to come together and stand up for our democracy! PM Mark Carney has secured a Majority for the Liberal Party and even took time to play hockey with the Finnish Prime Minister—how refreshing is that? Meanwhile, a frustrated Pierre Poilievre, Leader of the Conservatives, is firing shots about Carney's understanding of economics!? On top of that, Doug Ford is now flying around on a 27 MILLION DOLLAR private jet that Ontario taxpayers paid for, dubbed The Gravy Plane, all while lobbying for big grocers and attempting to strip away more rights in Ontario!
Danielle Smith is making things easier for Separatists in Alberta, and Trump is having public spats with the Pope—talk about distractions! And let’s not forget about Avi Lewis, the new Leader of the NDP, who is taking a bold stance and coming out swinging for the people. Amid all this chaos, peace talks are still underway in the Middle East.
Join Douglas Conners and host Laura Babcock as they unpack this whirlwind of insanity with some much-needed humour. We need to laugh, yell, and actively participate in defending our democracy! Don’t just sit back—comment, share, hype it up, and subscribe to stay informed and engaged in these crucial conversations. Let's make our voices heard!
