About this episode
今回は、「京都古文化保存協会」が行っている「京都非公開文化財特別公開」について紹介する。石清水八幡宮では、国宝の本社内部を彩る極彩色の彫刻や黄金の雨どいなどが見どころ。左京区にある信行寺では、11年ぶりに本堂の天井を彩る伊藤若冲の「彩色花卉図」が一般公開される。
さらに、もみじ寺の通称で親しまれる善法律寺で秘仏・水天像が初公開されるほか、後水尾天皇ゆかりの法常寺では、歴代天皇より下賜された美術品を紹介するなど、ふだん目にすることの出来ない文化財の魅力を伝える。
