About
In celebration of the American Folklife Center’s (AFC) 50th anniversary, the AFC has asked cultural and community leaders across the United States to talk about why the Center and its collections are important to them. This series is called That’s AFC for Me. This episode features David Harrington of the Kronos Quartet. For over 50 years, the Kronos Quartet has been a leading voice in contemporary, American music in a variety of genres. Harrington has worked closely with the American Folklife Center in recent years, especially during his time as the Chair of Modern Culture at the Library of Congress’ Kluge Center.
