Tim Easton: I’m Troubled

Easton, Tim

About

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Tim Easton performing the song “I’m Troubled” from a field recording of Doc Watson on voice and guitar (with Arnold Watson on harmony vocals and harmonica), recorded by Ralph Rinzler in 1963. From the Ralph Rinzler duplication project, part 2 (AFC 1979/080). The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress challenged musical artists to interpret material from its unparalleled archive of ethnographic recordings of traditional folk music. Artists were asked to put their own spin on these archival treasures, and to perform them at a special showcase during the Folk Alliance International conference in Kansas City, Missouri in 2024. The showcase was recorded for this webcast.
