About
John Stavast was a veteran of both World War II and the Vietnam. Stavast was shot down over North Vietnam on September 17, 1967, and was held as a Prisoner of War at six different prison camps including what was known as the Hanoi Hilton. It is from his time at this prison camp that some of his items are from, including a roster of his fellow POWs that is written on toilet paper.
