2023 Literacy Awards Successful Practices Event

About

The Library of Congress Literacy Awards 2023 Successful Practices Conference honored the three 2023 winners of the Library's Literacy Award Program and fifteen 2023 Successful Practice honorees. Recipients were selected by Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden in the summer and were announced on Sept. 8, International Literacy Day. To help continue the conversation about best practices for literacy programs, the day-long celebration featured presentations by the 2023 winners and honorees and recognition of the winners and honorees by the Dr. Hayden and David Rubenstein, sponsor of the awards. Speakers included Dr. Hayden, Judy Lee, Karen Ristau, Lee Ann Potter, Allister Chang, Charles Salter, Khali Sweeney, Katie Solomon, Skylar Burkhardt, Loriene Roy and Rebecca Chandler Leege.
