About
harbanger is a turntable septet - an experimental hip-hop music research project exploring turntable polyphony and polyrhythm. The ensemble emerged through the creative collaboration of hip-hop activist Harry Allen and DJ Rob Swift during a 2020 Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST) Visiting Artist residency at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, debuting in a performance titled the wave function collapses. Comprising DJs Axis Pro, Bobby Bangers, The Don Santos, Emoh Betta, Pryvet Peepsho, Spictakular, and Treeman, harbanger will present new music composed by The Don Santos ("Where The Movement Is") and Pryvet Peepsho ("Pavor Nocturnus") in their September 28 video premiere.
