About
The Parent-Child Home Program combines intensive home visits with weekly gifts of books and educational materials to develop school readiness in children with disadvantages. Community-based early literacy specialists visit participating families twice a week for two years, supplying books and educational toys and modeling activities designed to stimulate interaction and promote school readiness.
