About
I originally intended to do this as an anti-thesis on why Tagalog as a language is not ideal for fansubbing, due to its tendency to contain long words and sentences in general. It rather turned out fairly decent beyond my expectations, interesting at the very least.
Note that:
I used the Latin script in it, though using the baybayin would be another interesting concept on its own.
I tried to minimize using loanwords, trying to stick with colonial era lexicon as possible, so there might be some native equivalent terms of common Spanish/English that even a lot of locals may not be familiar with. This doesn't necessarily include the pre-colonial loanwords that originated from Chinese/Arabic/Sanskrit/Malay.
I am not a linguist, much more a professional, so don't expect too much.
I'm not translating from the English subtitles. I'm directly tranlating from the Japanese audio, but having an English subtitle already avaiable helps for double-checking too.
