I found the source DVD here: https://archive.org/details/life_from_above_iso and I'm grateful to the original uploader!

Life from Above: Behold Earth as it’s never been seen before. Cameras in space tell stories of life on our planet from a brand-new perspective, revealing its incredible movements, colors, patterns and just how fast it’s changing. PBS and BBC Earth teamed up to bring you this amazing documentary series.

In order to use the subtitles, in either the .MP4 or the .MKV videos: you must first download the videos to your device, and then play them from there - with a media player (like VLC) that shows subtitles.

If you like shows like this: you are highly encouraged to donate to your local PBS affiliate - now, more than ever, they need your help. https://protectmypublicmedia.org/ "Urge Congress: Protect PBS Funding.
