About
In 1994, as part of their education remit, Intel released a school pack. It contained numerous experiments, booklets and video tapes for educational use, however, they also released a feature film to go alongside it called, The Journey Inside. Filmed in IMAX and released at selected cinemas in the USA, it would make its way to VHS shortly after, for your home viewing pleasure.
The film follows Jimmy, a lad who needs to get his microprocessor project completed for school. He soon finds himself caught up with some no-good aliens looking to take down Earth's technological progress. Foiling the aliens plan whilst exploring Intel's fab is the main gist of what transpires.
Sharon Mahoney stars as Dr. Jennifer Clayton, Tim Farrell as Jimmy and Gustav Vintas as the alien villain. The director, Barnaby Jackson, actually distanced himself from the project, using the Alan Smithee alias on the official directing credits.
Sit back and hold on tight for a thrill ride like never before.
