Introductory Chemistry ★ Series of HD720 lectures from UCI - with Chapter Markers and MKV

. _ .

The University of California at Irvine, and Professor Eric Potma, contributed a marvelous 48 part lecture series on Introductory Chemistry to The Lost Telecourses collection. You need to understand these basics if you are going to study Chemistry - At All - and these short lectures help bring you up to speed on the subject.

Chemistry is a fascinating science … but before diving deep into chemistry you have to know the basics. This course provides you with those Basics. After completing this course you are ready to start college level chemistry classes.

This class is composed of four modules … each 12 lectures long.

1.) The first module discusses numbers, units, and conversions: these are the tools necessary to solve scientific chemical numerical problems.

2.) The second module talks about atoms ions and molecules: you will learn about the basic architecture of an atom, the structure of the periodic table, and how to name and draw molecules.

3.) In the third module you will learn about chemical reactions and chemical equations: we will introduce the mole, and the mole ratio, and methods on how to calculate the amount of product given a certain amount of starting materials.

4.) In module number four you will highlight several chemical reactions in water: and these include precipitation reactions, acid/base reactions, and Redux reactions.
