About
A 13-episode Japanese anime series created by Xebec that ran on TV Kanagawa from October 3 to December 26 of 2003. It centers around four fairies who represent the four seasons - Kururu (spring), Chiriri (summer), Sarara (autumn), and Hororo (winter) - who have come to the human world to learn more about it in the hopes of becoming humans themselves. Other characters include Sensei-san, the fairies' caretaker during their time in the human world; Tama-chan, the girl next door who often gives the fairies less-than-reliable advice; and Oboro, a toy cat the fairies bring to life with their magic that does little more than just fly around aimlessly.
The first 12 episodes focus on the fairies learning about the months of the year and the Japanese traditions associated with them, and the 13th episode is about what happens when they finally achieve their wish of becoming human.
