About
This is a recording of a roundtable interview event regarding Masaaki Yuasa’s theatrical animated feature film, Inu-Oh. The event was organized by the Animestyle magazine, and it was held on June 4, 2022 on Loft Project’s premises, Asagaya Loft A. The event was also livestreamed on Twitcasting.
The participants are:
Masaaki Yuasa (湯浅政明), director
Satoshi Nakano (中野悟史), chief animation director
Yoshimichi Kameda (亀田祥倫), chief animation director
The participants were interviewed by Animestyle’s editor-in-chief, Yuichiro Oguro (小黒祐一郎).
Interesting tidbits:
The discussion starting around 00:15:20 in the video is supposedly the first public confirmation of わしお (washio) being a pen name of Nakano. He first used the pen name when working on episode #06 of Ping Pong the Animation, an animated TV series directed by Yuasa.
