About

Alien Visitor (1995), also known as Epsilon , is an Australian‑Italian science fiction drama directed by Rolf de Heer . The film follows a mysterious alien woman who is accidentally transported to Earth, landing in the Australian outback where she meets a local surveyor. As they travel together, the alien becomes frustrated with humanity’s behavior and begins confronting the man about pollution, environmental damage, and the destructive tendencies of the human race. Using her advanced abilities, she takes him on a journey across different locations to show the impact humans have had on the planet. Over time, their relationship develops into something more personal, blending philosophical ideas with an emotional connection. Unlike most sci‑fi films from the era, Alien Visitor is very dialogue‑driven and focuses more on ideas and themes than action. Its minimal cast, slow pacing, and experimental storytelling give it a unique feel compared to typical 90s science fiction releases. The film appeared primarily through the home‑video market , often under the title Alien Visitor instead of its original name Epsilon . It circulated on VHS during the late 1990s and early 2000s , where it became one of those obscure, offbeat sci‑fi titles you’d stumble across in rental stores. This VHS rip preserves the analog presentation, including soft image quality, tape grain, and color characteristics typical of late‑1990s videocassette releases.
