Teknoman (US, UPN Kids) Syndicated Episodes

About

I had been searching for the UPN Kids version of Teknoman for the better part of a decade and back in 2012-2013 I discovered a forum a user by the name of Mek1 posted his vhs recordings of Teknoman's UPN dub the user had episodes 1,7 and the later half of the original airing episodes 18-26 along with two recaps, the intro and outro and episodes 15 and 17 were incomplete. I also included the missing episodes from youtube user Vegitto04 who had his international video edits of certain episodes and of the missing episodes from Mek1's rips. A local Cable TV Advert by the youtube user max payne fan is also included in the MPEG-4 file so don't forget that one.

I distinctly remember Syfy (known in 1995 as Sci-fi) along with UPN Kids airing the two English dubs of Teknoman almost back-to-back during their weekend anime block in 1995 Saturday would be Sci-fi's airing and Sunday would be UPN Kids airing. Sci-fi being the same anime block that aired Project Ako and it's subsequent movies, Iria Zeiram The Animation and Casshan Robot Hunter the 90s OVA.

Then in 2012 or so browsing for the UPN version looking for people who may have the missing episodes on VHS after coming across Mek1's rips a gracious youtube user by the name of Vegitto04 who has posted all of the episodes on Youtube (including Mek1's rips I gave him) gave me the raw files of the remaining series and his International DVD edited versions (due to a hiatus project he worked on to enhance the UPN dub with the extended International Dub scenes due to episode 2's video/audio quality being poor)

I want to share this with other people because I don't want to be the only other person who owns this rare gem of my childhood. If you are interested in the full series I recommend buying Teknoman from Media Blasters that is still available online. Keep in mind it's the international dub and while the first 26 episodes of the UPN dub in my personal opinion are the best I think David Thomas Jr (Blade) and Karrigan Mahan (Ringo) actually improve their voice work in the second half of the dub in the International Media-Blasters release from episode 27-43 It's just my opinion that the UPN version had better sound quality and notable american voice actors like Bob Bergen (Porky Pig, Winter Soldier Luke Skywalker in Star Wars games) Michael McConnohie and John Vickery.

Unfortunately the UPN Kids dub wasn't polished so it explains that the International English version shown on Cheez TV in Australia is the full original dub still I wanted to post the UPN Kids version in hopes the dub will circulate online for years to come and that someone in the future could re-upload this in case my hard copy is lost or damaged.

Special Thanks to Mek1 for being the first online poster of this dub Vegitto04 for hosting the series on youtube and max payne fan for posting the rare tv spot.

*Edit*

I've included a rare picture on a UPN Website of the online promotional art for Teknoman in the JPEG section for this upload!
