Episode From "Maybe One Day" to "You Are an Ironman!": Martin’s Age-Group Story | Ep 564
This week’s age-grouper story is a cracker.
Martin Imms shares how he went from hovering over the Ironman “Enter” button to committing and finishing Ironman Kalmar before his 50th.
We dig into juggling training around a busy job, hotel life and family buy-in, the appeal of Kalmar’s flat, fast course, and dealing with raceday adversity
Martin talks through his day, including his first ever marathon, and soaking up the Swedish crowd support to cross the line in ~13 hours.
If you’re considering your first Ironman you’ll get practical tips on reframing travel weeks, managing expectations, breaking big goals into small wins, and being brave enough to hit “enter.”
