We’re Chris and Becky—parents to a 19-year-old son with Level 3 autism and very high support needs. Each week, we share real-life stories from our journey, the things we’re learning along the way, and honest conversations about the joys, challenges, uncertainty, and everything in between.

The unexpected loss of someone close to our family brought up one of the deepest fears many special needs and autism parents carry: What will happen to my child if something happens to me? In this episode, we have an honest conversation about that fear, the importance of preparing for our children’s future, and the things we can do now to help create a circle of support around them. We can’t control what happens tomorrow, and we don’t want to spend today consumed by worry. Instead, we’re talking about what it looks like to choose less worry and more preparation—while still being present, hopeful, and grateful for the life we have right now.We’re building something new!
