Il processo con cui individui o gruppi di individui vengono etichettati come mostri o come "non pienamente umani" è stato usato nella storia per giustificare la discriminazione e l'esclusione. Oggi un mostro, però, non è più una creatura immaginaria. Potrebbe essere chiunque di noi. E spesso la mostrificazione è preceduta da un meccanismo linguistico molto preciso. Che ha come scopo l’annientamento di quanto viene descritto come “mostruoso”.
