唔知你聽到「祇樹給孤獨園」當中有一千二百五十人喺度上堂，會唔會好奇一千二百五十人要點樣上堂呢？我哋中學時候嘅早會，台上嘅講者都要靠枝咪嚟傳聲，佛陀時候無咪呢類擴音設備，咁台下嘅人會唔會聽唔到呢？
其實，我哋從現代嘅佛教團體上堂辯經嘅情況，就可以知道當年嘅千二百五十人眾係點樣上堂。
而當年嘅千二百五十人眾，會喺上堂之前，聯群結隊，到市區乞食，因而，《金剛經》一開頭就講到乞食。到底乞食喺佛教當中有咩意義呢？
