Holiday backyard gatherings when what you brought, depended on the list of food that everyone wasn't bringing.
Lawn darts that were heavy enough... to cut your toe off, if thrown the wrong way.
Flies around all the food... but you still took that risk because SERIOUSLY who could resist Aunt Ann's chocolate dessert with graham cracker crust and that whipped cream cheese YUMMMMMY!
Everyone bringing their own lawn chairs, because who could afford having 50 spare and it WAS NOT rude to bring your own either.
And of course...
The rich didn't try to out do those who weren't, when it came to the evening event finale... fireworks.
