Daniella Monet Talks Trina Vega, the ‘Victorious’ Legacy, ‘Hannah Montana,’ and ‘Hollywood Arts’

10 Jul 2026 · 1 h 07 min · Episode 1059 · Explicit

Thirteen years since the end of ‘Victorious’ and its spin-off is now imminent: ‘Hollywood Arts,’ starring Daniella Monet reprising her role as Trina (and exec producing). Crazy. Crazier still that Monet — who came up with Zach — has never been on the show. So this interview is really more like a catch up with old friends as they reflect on the next chapter of one of Nickelodeon's most beloved franchises. Together they look back at the original show's legacy, where we left Trina, how the show came together, and what fans can expect as the story picks up — with a few familiar faces set to return.

Beyond ‘HA’ Daniella opens up about balancing acting with raising two children, why Hallmark movies have become such a great fit for this stage of her life, and the changing entertainment landscape since she first dreamed of landing a Nickelodeon show. Other topics discussed: the ‘Victorious’ cast group chat, Trina's evolution, Daniella's audition for ‘Hannah Montana’ and ‘Chicago’ (she busts out some bars), an unexpected run-in with Tom Cruise, filming a McDonald's commercial as a vegan, whether Zach might finally make his long-awaited cameo in the ‘Victorious’ universe, and so much more.
