    The dynamic model of Figure 7.2.4 relates the switching speed to the charging and discharging time of the gate capacitor.

    Thus, switching speed can be improved by

    1. increasing the on current of the transistors
    2. decreasing the gate capacitance by scaling to smaller sizes
    3. decreasing the supply voltage (thereby decreasing the voltage swing during charge/discharge cycles
