    7.5.1.2: Ladris

Finding specific details about Ladris's products or about the use of Artificial Intelligence in Ladris's products on its web site was not straight forward. Since details were few, it is difficult to itemize their capabilities, much less perform a comparative assessment.

    Corporate AI Ethics Statement

That having been said, their web site had a corporate statement on their AI ethics [2] related to their corporate mission to develop "AI-driven solutions that enhance emergency and risk management for local governments." "Our products are designed to predict disaster impacts, simulate evacuations, and monitor infrastructure risks."[2]

Two principles in their AI ethics statement that are worth pointing out are the following:

    • "Privacy and data protection. Respecting user privacy is paramount. We adhere to stringent data protection laws and ensure that our AI systems handle sensitive information with utmost care, especially when dealing with personal and community data.
    • Compliance with Regulations. We stay informed about and comply with all relevant AI regulations and standards. This commitment ensures that our products meet legal requirements and uphold ethical considerations in all jurisdictions we operate." [2]

    Ladris (Wildfire Modeling and Monitoring)

The Wildfire Modeling and Monitoring capability is built on their "Core" platform that "integrates the full spectrum of emergency management data into a single AI-native system, from sensors and satellite imagery to plans, procedures, and models."[4] The Core platform "connects to thousands of real-time and historical data sources to provide situational awareness across early warning, infrastructure status, demographics, and field conditions."[4] "Core automates scenario modeling and threat detection based on live hazard inputs such as satellite fire detections." [4]

In a section entitled AI-Driven Risk Analysis for Planning and Response Ladris states: "Using AI models calibrated to public safety outcomes, Core surfaces actionable insights on population risk, mobility, and infrastructure vulnerability. It supports strategic planning, incident response, and resource allocation across all phases of emergency management."[4]

"Built on the Core platform, Ladris Fire equips emergency teams with powerful predictive tools to simulate fire behavior and act immediately. Built on trusted fire spread models and enhanced with live environmental data, this system delivers high-speed simulations of fire growth and community impact before and during a fire. It supports wildfire model planning and real-time operations alike."[3]

"Fire Spread Modeling in Live Conditions: Ladris Fire generates predictive fire spread modeling maps using current weather, terrain, and vegetation data. Simulations run in seconds and automatically adjust as new information becomes available, helping emergency teams anticipate growth patterns and prepare suppression strategies without needing manual setup or calibration."[3]

"Real-Time Wildfire Monitoring and Alerts: The system integrates real-time fire detection from satellite and sensor feeds to track new ignitions and changes in existing incidents. Users receive automatic updates and alerts as conditions evolve, supporting faster situational updates and more informed operational decisions."[3]
