    10.4: Organizing the Elements

As more elements were being discovered, many people began attempting to organize them in a variety of ways: Triads, Pentads, and Octaves were among these ideas. Many of these ideas were not taken very seriously. It wasn't until someone was able to find an organizational scheme that was able to make a prediction that the organization of the elements was taken seriously across the disciple. In these subsections we will discuss the discovery of this organization scheme, its implications, and introduce the current organization of the elements within the periodic table.
