The sculpture is a profile image of a man with long wavy hair and a youthful appearance. He is adorned with a band or diadem across his forehead. The sculpture appears on a circular medallion or coin, with inscriptions around the edge identifying him with names such as "FERDINANDVS" and titles like "REX" and "SICILIAE". The material seems to be bronze, with a slightly worn surface. The details in the rendering of the man's facial features and hair are intricately carved in relief, giving it a three-dimensional look that allows the profile to stand out from the background of the medallion.
