The image shows ships at sea from a slightly elevated perspective. The horizon is low in the image, with the sea meeting the sky. The ships, mainly large sails and masts, are visible on the horizon, appearing slightly tilted. The brushwork is sketch-like, with fine lines defining the details of the sails and riggings. The color palette is muted and monochrome, with primarily sepia and beige tones and some darker accents. The water reflects the vessels, adding to the calm atmosphere. Faint shapes of other ships can be seen in the background, enhancing depth.
