The image shows a pastoral scene with cows walking along a pathway bordered by trees. The point of view is slightly above. The horizon is implied with distant trees and figures as visual boundaries. The artwork has a sketch-like quality with loose brushstrokes for texture and movement. The color palette is earthy with gray, brown, and hints of rust and white. There is a tree line in the distance and the path and animals create a sense of rural life in the foreground.
