#Election2026 #MississippiSenate #AlaskaSenate #PeteHegseth #DonaldTrump #ThomasMassie #NithyaRaman #KarenBass #LosAngelesMayor #USPolitics #NTDNews -- Two Senate seats from Mississippi and Alaska still remain too close to call. In Mississippi, Democrat Scott Colom leads Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith by about 1,100 votes. Several thousand provisional ballots are still being counted. In Alaska, Democrat Mary Peltola leads Republican Senator Dan Sullivan with just over 48% of the vote. Under state rules, a candidate needs a majority to win outright. Alaska expects to update its count on November 10th. If no one tops 50%, ranked-choice tabulation begins November 18th.

President Trump is standing by War Secretary Pete Hegseth amid an impeachment push by lawmakers. He's defending Hegseth's leadership and saying he intends to keep him in the Cabinet. Republican congressman Thomas Massie is leading the effort to remove Hegseth. Massie introducing eight articles against the secretary in September, accusing him of violating congressional war powers and abusing his authority. The House has not voted on the articles of impeachment, and Massie plans to renew the effort when Congress returns next week.

Nithya Raman will be the next mayor of Los Angeles, defeating incumbent Mayor Karen Bass. Raman becomes the first challenger in more than 20 years to unseat a sitting Los Angeles mayor. The latest vote count shows Raman with nearly 53%, compared to Bass with roughly 48% . about 76% of expected ballots are counted. Raman says she plans to focus on affordable housing, public safety, and improving public transportation as she prepares to take office. -- 00:00 NTD Good Morning: Top Stories 01:34 Alaska, Mississippi Senate Races Still Undecided 03:20 What's Next for Congress after the Midterms 10:20 Trump to NTD: A Lot of Things Cooking for Next Week 14:55 Trump Defends Hegseth Amid Impeachment Calls 17:57 Thune Vows to Counter Dems after GOP Defeat 20:20 77% of Voters…
