This week on Wings, Wheels & Wisecracks, Dad and I swap stories about the celebrities we've met, worked with, flown with, cooked for, rescued… and occasionally had to sneak past security to reach. 😂
Dad takes us into the cockpit with Wayne Gretzky, who apparently had a surprising fear of flying, and tells stories about flying Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, the Electric Light Orchestra, ZZ Top, and more. And yes, there was a very sneaky cigarette involved when one ZZ Top member decided he needed a cheeky puff at 30,000 feet. ✈️🚬
Then there's the time Dad came to the rescue when singer Burton Cummings became seriously ill during a flight, plus a pretty incredible story about flying veterans to Normandy and making sure they could see the beaches from the air.
Meanwhile, I reveal my own celebrity encounters, including the time I had to pull off a full-on stealth mission involving a bouncer's legs just to meet the legendary John Candy. 😂
I also share stories about meeting Paula Abdul, cooking dinner for Tommy Chong, seeing Rod Stewart in Belfast with Adam Hills, and some of my acting adventures, including The X-Files, Austin Powers: Goldmember, and an independent movie, For Da Love of Money.
But it's not all glamorous. I tell the story of my worst comedy experience in 36½ years at The Comedy Store in Hollywood, when a fellow comedian decided to call me a "fkn b*tch" from the stage… and I had to figure out how the hell to recover from that one. 😳🎤
We also talk about my audition for America's Got Talent, Dad's appearance in the independent movie Psycho Chicks Anonymous, and our plans to eventually take Wings, Wheels & Wisecracks on the road.
