Box Elder County Sheriff Kevin Potter took a voluntary administrative leave after he was involved in a crash in Ogden Canyon.
Potter was reportedly involved in the crash that also involved a 22-year-old motorcyclist at the mouth of the canyon. The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, collided with a car that was turning from Valley Drive onto Canyon Road on Tuesday.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local area hospital after suffering what officials called severe injuries. Her condition as of Friday was not made available.
