Inklusion ist ein gesellschaftlich wichtiges Thema, das auch für den organisierten Sport immer bedeutender wird. Die gleichberechtigte Teilhabe beim Sporttreiben ist die Vision, doch derzeit ermöglicht nicht einmal jeder zehnte Verein in Deutschland Angebote für Menschen mit Behinderung. Wie kann Vereinen der Einstieg gelingen? Ist in allen Sportarten Inklusion möglich? Und wo liegen die Grenzen? Diese Fragen stehen im Mittelpunkt der dritten Folge. Der Gast: Sarah Huber, die Geschäftsführerin von Special Olympics Deutschland in Hessen. Im Gespräch blickt die 31-Jährige außerdem zurück auf die Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, an denen im Juni mehr als 7.000 Athlet*innen mit geistiger oder mehrfacher Behinderung teilnahmen. Die Spiele entfachten eine Aufbruchstimmung – auch dank eines bundesweiten Host-Town-Programms, an dem sich 19 hessische Kommunen beteiligten. Huber ist sich sicher, dass das Event dem inklusiven Sport einen großen Schub geben wird. Sie sagt aber auch: „Man hat schon viele Skeptiker, die sagen: Inklusion ist eine Utopie. Es ist noch ein sehr langer Weg.“
