「UBEビエンナーレ（現代日本彫刻展）」は、戦後のまちの美化と心の豊かさを求める市民運動をきっかけとして、1961年から2年に一度の開催を続ける世界で最も歴史ある野外彫刻の国際コンクールです。28か国183点の応募作品の中から一次審査で選ばれた30点の入選模型作品のうち15点の実物制作指定作品が、第30回の節目を迎える2024年秋、約10倍の大きさの野外彫刻となって、常盤湖を望むUBEビエンナーレ彫刻の丘に展示されます。
