About this episode
Mister Rogers brings a branch covered in woodpecker holes and shares a film about woodpeckers. He visits François Clemmons' studio to learn Native American dances from the Hale Family. The family shares about their instruments, jewelry, and the traditional accessories they wear when they dance.
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Cornflake S. Pecially and Mr. McFeely teach Lady Elaine how to use a drill for her maple syrup business. She sings "A Handy Lady and A Handy Man."
In Someplace Else, Miss Paulificate, Harriett Elizabeth Cow, and Donkey Hodie put together a harvest booth. Lady Elaine shares her secret source of her maple syrup, and Mr. McFeely worries it will not be received well.
Back at the house, Mister Rogers uses a hole-puncher on different colors of construction paper.
