JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Perjalanan Gibran Rakabuming Raka menuju kursi Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia diwarnai serangkaian peristiwa politik dan hukum yang menjadi sorotan publik.
Dari polemik batas usia calon presiden dan wakil presiden, Putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi Nomor 90/PUU-XXI/2023, kontroversi etik yang berujung pada pemberhentian Anwar Usman dari jabatan Ketua MK, hingga pencalonan Gibran sebagai pendamping Prabowo Subianto pada Pilpres 2024.
Pasangan Prabowo-Gibran kemudian memenangkan pemilihan dan resmi dilantik pada 20 Oktober 2024. Namun, kemenangan dan pelantikan tersebut tidak serta-merta menghentikan perdebatan mengenai perjalanan politik Gibran.
Polemik kembali mengemuka ketika persyaratan pendidikan Gibran dipersoalkan melalui jalur hukum. Dalam putusan perkara yang dibahas dalam video ini, MK menyatakan tidak menemukan bukti ijazah, sertifikat, atau diploma luar negeri yang menunjukkan penyetaraan dengan pendidikan minimal SMA atau sederajat, tetapi tidak membatalkan jabatan Gibran sebagai wakil presiden.
Perkembangan tersebut kemudian diikuti langkah Ahmad Khozinudin dan sejumlah pihak yang mendorong tindak lanjut ke Bareskrim Polri, serta upaya Ray Rangkuti dan kelompok masyarakat sipil mendorong penggunaan hak angket DPR.
