About

Bijna alle naaisters lopen mee naar de Februaristaking op de Noordermarkt. Het is februari 1941. Mien ten Dam-Pooters (1917) legt het naaiatelier waar ze werkt plat. De hele familie Pooters, vader, moeder en zeven kinderen, is actief in het verzet. Broer Pam bekoopt dit met de dood in 1943. Tot voor kort sprak ze op scholen over de oorlog toen en racisme nu. Of, zoals ze haar Marokkaanse overbuurman uitlegt, allochtoon zijn betekent dat je zelf of je ouders niet in Nederland geboren zijn. Meer niet. "Met onderscheid maken is niks mis, het mag alleen niet tot discriminatie leiden".
