Van het station te Baarn vertrekt een stoomtrein voor zijn laatste rit naar Utrecht. Als de trein in Utrecht is aangekomen, vertrekt vanaf een ander perron een feestelijk versierde elektrische trein voor de eerste rit over hetzelfde traject in omgekeerde richting. SHOTS: -ext. en int. van de twee treinen tijdens de ritten; -langs de kant van de spoorbaan staan juichende en zwaaiende mensen; 1'04" president-directeur NS ir. W. Hupkes (midden).
