About

Brianna Anderson, a PhD candidate in English at the University of Florida, Gainesville, was among the Swann Fellow awardees selected in 2022 to speak at the Library. Her project, "Greening the Gutters: Visualizing Environmental Disaster and Youth Eco-Activism in Children's Comics," uses posters, cartoon drawings, small press comics, and zines to understand the way in which visual culture engages audiences and inspires them to action.

Human-made No record of this work says a model made it. What this means.
