About
In this interview, Harry Blackmun focuses on his recollections of October Term 1973, mainly discussing the U.S. v. Nixon case and the surrounding Watergate scandal. He describes the great anxiety, and tremendous pressure, they were under to get a unanimous opinion out so late in the term. He also talks about Justice Douglas and his Goose Prairie cabin, leaks to the press, Chief Justice Warren's passing and how dynamics are bound to change anytime a new Supreme Court justice is appointed. At the end of the interview, Blackmun shares a few of the lighter moments they've had as justices.
