About
Author and anthropologist Emily Williamson visited the Young Readers Center to present her unique book "Gizo-Gizo! A Tale From the Zongo Lagoon," created when Williamson was researching conservation issues in a community of Cape Coast, Ghana, where an important water source, the Zongo Lagoon, was polluted. She engaged children to explore the issues of the lagoon and environmental protection. The event was in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Children's Africana Book Awards sponsored by Africa Access.
