This lecture described the Image Permanence Institute's approaches and tools for environmental assessment in cultural heritage institutions. IPI's approach is an inherently sustainable one that makes use of quantitative metrics of the 'preservation quality' of storage and display environments. Mr. Reilly will introduce IPI's latest web-based systems and present the 10-year evolution of these tools and approaches at the Library of Congress.
