About
Taken from "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Party of Five" off of WXXA-TV, the Fox affiliate in Albany, NY. Interesting this is only my second tape find of WXXA content, but then again Fox's programming skews toward younger viewers, and most of these tapes I find at estate sales, obviously an older demographic.
WXXA was owned at the time by Clear Channel Communications which was once a radio giant. They also owned WGY radio in Schenectady, and former WNYT general manager Don Perry went to oversee Clear Channel's broadcasting arm in the 2000s. Today Clear Channel survives as iHeartMedia, still in the radio business, while the broadcasting arm was sold in 2007 to Newport Television, and then to various owners (WXXA is part of a duopoly with WTEN).
