About
This interesting video was originally uploaded to YouTube by theleeoverstreet on October 1, 2018. From the original description:
"In October of 1998 I used my radio show website and other content to test recording an ATI All-in-Wonder Pro video card signal to video tape. Includes playing music in Winamp (skinned, of course), viewing our website in Netscape, playing our video and audio in Real Player, playing funny videos in Windows Media Player, and even playing a Hanson .mov file in ATI's media player. The video finishes with a bit of gameplay with DX-Ball / Arkanoid. At the time of upload, it's been 20 years!
The video resolution in Windows 98 was reduced to 800x600 for this, if I remember correctly, and recorded to a Sony Hi8 CCD-TRV65 camcorder. That tape was part of a defective batch that didn't age well, thus the noisy lines. But it's all part of the 90's analog charm, right?
Lee & Wolfe was a college radio show we originated on WVUA-FM 90.7 at the University of Alabama from 1995-2003, which featured music, comedy, news, and live bands. We won awards and syndicated it via mp3 and stuff. It was cool."
Since there isn't many videos like this one on YouTube, I decided to upload this to the Internet Archive. If I find anything similar, I will also upload those here as well.
Enjoy the video! :)
