About
Made for the Science Teaching Center, M.I.T., as a part of a series on relativity
With report of experiment
Director, Quentin Brown; photographer, Abraham Morochnik
William Bertozzi investigates the relationship between the kinetic energy of electrons and their speed for the range of accelerating voltages 0.5 Mev to 15 Mev, measuring the speed of the electrons by time-of-flight techniques, and the kinetic energy of the electrons by calorimetric means. Explains that the results indicate a limiting speed equal to that of light, in agreement with the theory of special relativity
