About

Al Franken and Tom Davis authored this sitcom pilot, an animated spinoff featuring SNL'S resident aliens and an obtrusive laugh track. Produced for NBC in the wake of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial 's monstrous box-office success by the animation team behind the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman Christmas specials. The result is sort of bizarre, and it's easy to see why it never became a weekly series. Davis and the cast rehashed the story a decade later for the subsequent theatrical spin-off, " Coneheads ." It aired on television a few weeks prior to Halloween in 1983, and it was briefly issued on a budget VHS (retailing for $9.95) to coincide with the release of the film.

Human-made No record of this work says a model made it. What this means.
